We approach every landscape design with an open mind, taking in every aspect of the site with our eyes, and listening to all your requests, concerns, and questions. As professionals, it’s our utmost goal to meet your expectations, but never by sacrificing quality. Honesty is always the best policy, and if we feel that a particular request won’t be appropriate or cost-effective, we’ll suggest alternatives or modifications that will work for your tastes and property. We have experience in most design styles, but some of our specialties include:
- Japanese gardens
- Midcentury landscape design
- Cottage gardens
- Low water, succulent landscapes
Our design process starts with a detailed site walk-through, where we talk one-on-one about your must-haves and wish list, as well as any concerns you may have about the project or location. We also gather substantial information about your design sensibilities and any material and plant preferences. We also take various photographs and rough measurements of your property, and collect any maps or historical data for the property. Depending on the project size and scope, we’ll provide a computer-drafted site map that indicates proposed structures, hardscaping, plantings, and features such as ponds and fountains, along with detailed plant recommendations, and a cost estimate, within one to six weeks.
